Best of 2014

Best of 2014

And here we go! Another year just whizzed by, with no specific apologetic mindset. And what do we have to show for it except this music? Like a soundtrack to our lives, these albums represent specific moments, bookmarked by their presence and their memory… If you’re new to this, here’s how this process goes. For the next two weeks I will be publishing one thematic list per day (so be sure to return daily), featuring Headphone Commute’s favorite album selections of the year. There are no EPs, re-issues, or compilations here – just full-lengths. There are no genres, but each list is based around a particular mood, and if you recognize and like some choices, there’s a good chance that you’ll love the rest. There are no ratings – all entries are listed in alphabetical order by artist. You get the idea! Enjoy and please support the featured artists and labels! In next year, more than ever, they will need your help!
