Music

There is definitely plenty to read on Headphone Commute. But what about all the music? Clearly, words alone can not convey the message as transferred from musician’s soul to yours. The good news is that there’s plenty to hear on the site!
First of all, there is our somewhat weekly Podcast, for which you can subscribe here:

[ for iTunes, go to Menu : Advanced : Subscribe to Podcast... and paste the URL ]
If you’re not a fan of music automatically delivered into your playlist, you can always visit our Mixes section, where the same sets are available for download. Additionally, you can stream all of our mixes via our Mixcloud account. HC is also a long time contributor to Percussion Lab. So you know we’ve got our bases covered!
Some people capture images, while others capture sound. Inspired by Taylor Deupree’s One Sound Each Day project, we set off on an aural journey to document our lives. Here are a few selected Field Recordings, Auditory Portraits and Creative Phonography from some of our favorite musicians, created exclusively for Headphone Commute. Check out our new Sound Postcards page, collecting all of the previous contributions in one place. Now also available for download! We also run a Sound Postcards Group on Sound Cloud. So be sure to stop by and contribute your recording!!!
And finally, along with our in-depth reviews, we offer a full-length track, embedded with permission of the artist and/or label. And if that’s not enough, each week we scan the invisible air waves of the intarwebs to find that one tune that will change the day… Check out our Track of the Week section for the latest findings! We hope that you enjoy your stay on Headphone Commute! Be sure to drop us a few words and let us know how we’re doing!
