Track Premiere : Max Richter – Beginning and Ending

Max Richter - The Congress OST

About a decade ago, during an insomnia tortured night, I sat down in front of my laptop and clicked through the latest releases on Boomkat. This is when I first discovered Max Richter‘s The Blue Notebooks. I specifically remember hearing myself saying out loud, “What is this music?” I didn’t know, and couldn’t possibly imagine, that since then, not only would I be able to meet Max in person, but that I would also be eternally grateful and honored for having him contributing a track towards Headphone Commute‘s benefit compilation, … and darkness came. And now, here we are, premiering an exclusive track from Max Richter’s upcoming release on Milan Records from his original soundtrack to The Congress, which comes out tomorrow, July 2nd, 2013. As you can see from the cover, this 2013 title by Ari Folman is a live action / animation film, which is a loose adaptation of Stanislaw Lem’s 1971 sci-fi novel, The Futurological Congress. But today, you’re here because of Max Richter’s music. So here it is…
