Mix : Cole Pierce

Go Lightly

On this beautiful Sunday morning we are mesmerized by the storytelling qualities of Cole Pierce‘s latest mix. This is his third installment for Headphone Commute’s podcast, and we are definitely happy to host his selection of incredible tunes that otherwise would have never grazed these speakers. Here’s more from Cole:

This mix was named Lazy for the longest time, but I knew it wasn’t lazy. It has more of an ambitious meandering feel to it. For a while I described it as beatnik ambient.  I wanted to tap into the beatnik spirit of the 50’s and 60’s, but in a way that cut through cliche’s associated with the period. I think it fits into the ambiguous area between critical reflection and daydreaming.
