Sound Postcard : Guest : Mapacho Icaro

I am super excited to share with you our very first guest Sound Postcard, submitted by Basten Bask. Looks like Basten is currently somewhere in Peru with his recorder, and he was able to capture the amazing sound of an Icaro – a shamanistic medicine song.
This is absolutely incredible! In this recording you can hear Don Juan performing an Icaro, while cleansing with tobacco during an Ayahuasca ceremony! Listen to the sounds of the tropical jungle in the background!

As a bit of background info… this particular Icaro is used to envoke the spirit of passed away curanderos, the spirit of the plant and/or the spirit of Ayahuasca.
It gives me a special feeling everytime I hear it :D
